Achieving a dream!
This young man was a child that spent many hours at the Honner house. His dream was to be an NBA basketball player and if that did not work out then he thought he might be a minister. He was ordained last month here is Sioux Falls. It was a very moving afternoon.
Winter Days
Well another South Dakota week end has passed and it was wonderful. Grand daughter Danni had some basketball games so we were off to Harrisburg to watch. That gets me out of the house to something other than the grocery store. After game Gary even went with me to the grocery store that was a lot more fun than going by myself. I really need to get outside and take some pictures of the 50 or 60 inches of snow sitting around our yard. It is almost March so we hopefully are on the down side of this white stuff. It will soon be rain and little peas coming up in the garden. I finally got the two baby blankets 100% done and now I need to deliver them. That feels so darn good!!

Busy and Happy
So you can see that there is always something going on in this family. Everyone is doing something they love at all times. I have finally got all my ducks in a row so I won't be playing catch up. Between new camera and new computer it has been fun learning how everything works but I am getting there.
After all the hours into this project it is both exciting and sad. It is so fun to watch it come into a picture and a nice present for the grandchild. It becomes a little bit of love that they can look at after I am gone and remember how much Grandma enjoyed making it even if she caused some pokes in her fingers!
Will sadly be missed!
This bag has been in a corner of my bedroom or by my chair for almost 18 months. Kids don't even touch it because it has become a part of the room. I have to find a new place to stash my Keystone salt water taffy that I forgot it was in there until January but it still is soooo good!!

A PROJECT MARKED DONE!
Well folks after dragging around this orange bag for about a year and half today I finally finished Jhaimann's baby blanket. I have worked at it very hard to have it done for his first birthday which is Feb. 12. The last five weeks I have worked day and night. It is totally amazing how many hours these things take and how sad it was today to know I am done with the stitching but have a few other things to do before I can give it to him. The best part is there was only three places that had a little blood on it. If you knew how many times I screamed out because I poked myself but did not draw blood. I don't scream like that when I am reading my books!!

Well here we go it is 2009. We have a wedding in June to prepare for. Nicki was home over Christmas and she got a lot of stuff done while she was here. I now have lots of things to take to Denver with me. She is having a small wedding so she does not need a lot of decorations and she is so creative she can see things that I wish I could see. When she shows them to me I go that is so great why can't I see them?? We had a great time and I am still recuperating from the late nights and full days... There was never a dull moment....
