Andrew Nelson is so compulsive he was putting Ella's underwear away for me.. he shuts all open doors also... Riley and Delano are the other two rugrats. Does Riley look like a devil? 

Today is a relatively quiet morning considering it is the first day of summer for the school kids. I have Dominique hired as a helper again this summer so it helps. We are starting out slow and that is Ok with me. I still have not recovered from all the cooking and cleaning of last week end. I did make some kicker kolaches FINALLY. I have been working on this for awhile. Kelli's Mom left on Monday she was a great nurse for the girl. Kelli did not feel well and slept all the time so she was not too hard to handle BUT come to find out she was taking twice the drugs in one day that she was suppose too..... She is doing good this week with some pain but she is awake more and watching out for small children that like to take a smack at her knee. As you all know this is not the quietist place in the world to do recoup.... We had a nice visit with Pat and Ruby she is so easy to get along with you feel like you have known her all your life. Pat is lucky. The graduation party was a lot of fun. Claudia has a really nice home and was very nice to all of us.... Drinia had over a hundred people that signed her book. She has a great head on her shoulders she is buying a laptop with her graduation money. She pulled in almost a thousand dollars... The Honner girls are coming for a few days this week end. It is Mom's sister week end. Steve is opening a new restaurant this week end so he will be very busy. Iit is close to the first Mall in Omaha on 72nd and Dodge if you remember. It is not the one we liked the best. Then on Sunday it is off to Wagner to do the cementery and then to Yankton for another graduation. We are coming home and hopefully heading to Scott's cabin for Monday. The weather is a little on the ify side it might be raining. Max is so excited and we might try to take in the Madagaster movie with all the little ones on Sat. Yes I believe this 3 day week end will be busy and not very restfull but by the sounds of it... it will be fun.

Well Kelli is having knee surgery tomorrow. She will be sleeping upstairs in the spare room and how many days do you think it will take for her to be crazy listening to whining and crying? I give her until Friday then it is a Czech fest with me cooking dumplings, sauerkraut, and pork chops in my Czech underwear for my family. Brother Pat from Florida will be in town for his daughters high school graduation which will take place 6 years to the day of Becki's graduation and also on Becki's one and only 25th birthday. Enjoy them while they are in the 20's because life will start moving faster and you will be having so much fun before you know it you will be 56 and the grandmother of six great little ones. Yes that is how life goes and you do learn how to make jello finally after many weak attempts... A big week end for the Fort Collins girls. You are having a first ever trunk show and you have to help your sister celebrate her birthday....

I think I just witnessed the last of the children moving home from college. Kelli has lived here since Christmas and has been working at Citibank but she had an apartment in Vermillion, SD and their lease is up this week end soooo she has been bringing her stuff home. This girl has more mirrors shelfs and pillows than any one girl should have. I thought Nicki was the queen of stuff but Kelli out did her I believe!! We took some stuff to sister Cheri's in Yankton and she brought 17 carloads here. She cleaned her room yesterday afternoon and last night went and got that final load in Vermillion last night. Well anyone who has moved a time or two knows what the final load is really full of s--t that is stuff that you could live without if you never knew you forgot it!! I shouldn't have to witness this again until grandchildren go off to college and the first one is Jerzy and he may be living with me and going to college sooo that basement may never be empty. I also know that boys only take Bart Simpson posters not pictures and mirrors and plants and pots and heavy furniture. In some ways it is sad and in many ways it is hard to believe that we are at the last of our kids going off to college well I know we have Becki but she is in Fort Collins and living in a house so that is kind of different. Yes I still have a room full of stuff of Becki's since she moved home a few years ago that is why Kelli had to go to Yankton with her over flow!! Becki is going to be 25 years old on the 22nd of May whew that seems to have moved fast also. How can I be only 39? They say time flies when you are having fun and that must be the truth. I am very fortunate to have such great kids they have been a blessing! We have had so many great moments yes including the moves from apartment to apartment and state to different state. We love them all!!!

I am getting ready to blow out 50 candles 

Well what a week end. We surprised little sister Cheri with a 50th birthday party. All the sisters were there to celebrate. Then we helpled little Kelli move from her college apartment. Then I came home to a couple of little boys bringing me a Mothers Day present and a rose that was almost dead that is what Max told me as he was coming up the steps and then in the next breathe he tripped and fell on that poor rose but guess what a little sugar water and that rose is looking good!!! Dad finally went out and started a little fire in the chimiea pot and it was so relaxing. The pond running, a fire, and finally a roasted marshmellow. What more could a girl ask for? Maybe a few good children to sit around the fire with her yes that would be the finishing touch. Kelli even roasted a marshmellow!! All in all it was a great time. Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone...

Saturday night with Grandma 

Well it was a crazy week end here. The Lincoln, Neb. crew was here for the week end. Gary and I fried 3 chickens, 18 legs, and 18 wings plus 2 packages of gizzards. I made some potatoe salad, baked beans and of course some cucumbers. We barely had any leftovers. It was crazy here. You should of seen Scott and Steve playing with Troy and Taylor. I told them that we needed a picture of the four of them playing together. The oldest cousins playing with the youngest ones!! Grandma is tired today. She needs to go to bed early. We went to bed late and Max had a sleep over and he had me up at 7:30 to tell me that he needed something to eat.... I like the girls they sleep until ten in the morning if they go to bed late. Anyway then I had to watch the Rosie O'Donnel movie last night did any of you watch it? I loved it...it was heart touching at the least. Dad had a Dr.'s appointment today and they said he is good to go. Still has some numbness in his foot but the Dr. said that may go away in time. He had apples and oranges on the road last week. He is at least trying to get better at some things. We had sleet showers all week end. It is so bitterly cold but the weather is suppose to get warmer starting tomorrow. At least their was not any accumilations of white stuff. We may have lost a few tomatoes but time will tell. My flowers are doing so well but they have had blankets on them to keep them warm. Who has been watching the bachelor? I can't decide if I like this guy or not. At least they are not kissing all the time. Well suppose I better go and help Dad he is draining the pool and moving some stones from the front to the garden area....Oh yes for Nicki May birthdays in our immediate family is Becki on the 22nd of May. June is Dana on the 12th, Danni on the 14th. I think that is it. July is Nicki on the 1st, Paige on the 8th, Steve and Dana's anniversary is the 9th, Steve is the 26th, and Luke is on the 30th. Ok I think that is right. It is a great start any way....
