More pictures for you people far away

You just can not capture how cute this little girl is! She was so alert and fun to watch her stretch and yawn. I stayed up with Kelli for a few hours tonight. It was calm and fun to just chit chat with her. She is so nervous about motherhood. I told her she can call anytime and I will try to be there for her as soon as I can. She looked beautiful today she was showered up and her hair was done and she even had a pink gown on!! Her favorite color. I surprised her with a waffle blanket for Josie I felt like it will be warm for her on our cold South Dakota days. Macy broke her elbow yesterday afternoon so I spent the evening with Paige and Macy in ER then at the surgical tower because they had to do surgery to place a couple of screws in her little elbow. She was trying to ride a surf board on a tidal wave with her brothers and missed the tidal wave (all the cushions from couches and chairs) but I am sure you all knew that! She had and so did Mom and Dad a rough night last night when she came out of recovery she was a little bulldog. She wanted the blood pressure cuff off and the ET red finger did not impress her. She isn't in a total cast but she is in some kind of restrictive semi cast for a week or ten days. It was definitely a week end at Sioux Valley for me and to think I did not know what I was doing for the week end!!

A DAY TO REMEMBER

Yesterday we added a new baby to our family. I intended to go up and sit in a waiting room until she was born but Kelli invited me in the room and we sat and visited and helped pass the time for her. About six-thirty the doctor came in and Kelli had stayed the same for six hours so the decided to do a c-section and boy oh boy did things move fast then. Miss Josie was born at 7:16 P.M. This is a very unusual occasion because yesterday was Kelli's 25th birthday and is Leslie's birthday Kelli's Mom. I do not know what the odds are that this could happen but all three on the same day. Kelli just wanted birthday cake yesterday but I think she was on liquids and crackers when I left at eleven so today will be a little cake and ice cream. Jay's Mom's birthday is today so they are going to be a partying family in the future!. Everyone is doing well. Kelli is still on crutches and her belly is full of stitches so she certainly has some challenges in the next few weeks but any girl that can have knee surgery done five weeks ago with just an epidural is one stoic chick she will need some help for awhile but things will get back to normal for that girl soon. I just wanted to get these pictures up for Angie, Katie, Becki and Nicki. I will definitely keep you updated....

Mom and Grandpa meeting Josie

Kelli had an emergency C-section so Josie was taken upstairs to check her out and Kelli was having a hard time controling the pain so she did not get to hold her and really look at her until eleven last night. Everyone was tired and happy when I left! Posted by Picasa

Mom and Dad hope she always sleeps this well!!

Just one more shot because I know all you guys far away can't get enough pictures! Posted by Picasa

Whew it is Sunday and after four fun filled days it is time to get back to reality! We just had a wonderful week end. Non-stop fun and hectic running and then at times just sitting with a cup of coffee and some good conversations. Becki came home for her friend Becky's wedding on Sat. It was a beautiful wedding in the Cathedral which they forgot to turn the heat on for!! There were so many familiar faces like the old days of following the girls in sports. The dance was sooo much fun! I even danced the Tootsie Roll with these girls which was a song they loved in their early high school days!! Poor Becki did not get very much homework done so she will be burning the midnight oil trying to make up for all the fun hours she had. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Miss Josie! Kelli's due date is here and so anytime there will be shots of her on the blog so keep looking. I have some of all yes I mean all six of the grandkids and you have to give Jerzy credit he was so patient to do this for me. They all were dressed up and looked so cute and handsome. I wish you could see how many shots I had to take to get two with everyone looking straight at me!!

My new fun ride!

Gary was sooo nice to buy my Christmas present early and now he has no pressure to find the perfect gift because he did it!! I liked this Chevy HHR and Gary really liked it because it is fun and looks like an old car. It has lots of extras that the old Passport did not have and it has tons of chrome. We have had fun trying to figure out where everything is in it! We have laughed a lot about how crazy it is to not know how to open the windows! It is a little different to be setting so much closer to the ground but what I thought was a wonderful ride in the Passport was a lot more jarring than I thought until you get in a new one!! It does not parallel park but I am not sure I could trust a car to do that anyway I always look for a generous parking spot and if I can not find it I just go somewhere else or say to hell with it!! I made the big trip to the grocery store for my turkey and trimmings so I am excited to have that out of the way and Colleen is doing a lot of cooking to help me out so it is looking like we can proceed with this week with not too much stress!! Of course we will have some Robert Redford for dessert.

I have had requests to update so here we go!

Well as you can see it has been hectic around here. I think I am having too much fun! Besides all this was a few good hours behind my mower doing leaves. I hope I am all done as I have said I was done the last three times I have mowed. We wore shorts two days this week and today we had snow and wore winter coats and I for one was freezing I am not ready for this cold weather. The car is cold and your hands freeze from hanging onto the steering wheel. Only in South Dakota can you have the air conditioner on one day and the heat two days later. I guess that is why I live here for the variety. We just had a dusting of snow it was not 3 feet so there are positives to be happy about. Well the holidays are going to be here before we know it. Kelli's baby is only a few weeks from being born so that is so exciting. I can't wait to hold the little darling it has been awhile since we have had the pitter patter of little feet around here. I am not sure Kelli is as excited but I am sure she is ready for this to be over and be on the other side of this baby stuff. She had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago so she is kind of laid up. I am not sure how she can have this baby when she can't nest and do all those crazy things women do before child birth!! Maybe she has Jay doing them while she directs him!!

Just a small gas leak on our street!!
