Whew what a week!

We have had a crazy week around the old ranch. Last Tuesday Gary had angioplasty he had two blocked arteries. He was back on his feet and pretty much the same old Gary very quickly except for some unbelieveable bruising he is doing well. He went back to work today as a matter of fact. I also squeeked another birthday in. Had a lot of fun and a very nice dinner provided by my son and his family and sisters providing the food. Max helped pick out a ice cream cake he wanted me to have a monster truck cake but Mom said no. I ended up with smiley faces and peace signs and it was delicious. He did a great job for old Grandma.

I can roast marshmellows in my own backyard now with my chimiea pot maybe even a beer opps I mean a diet Dr. Pepper.... I will have to share a picture of that and oh yes my trellis that I also recieved for my bday... I love it!!! This week has started out much slower thank goodness.

Everyone hard at work 

We had a fun day today helping Scott put together a swing set for the 3 kids. I did not do much physical help but did separate the more than 1800 pieces of bolts and nuts no kidding there were that many. I then helped make potatoe salad and keep an eye on the little ones. It was a great way to spend a Saturday. I am tired so I don't know how the real work crew feels. Just being out doors and enjoying the wonderful spring day was half of the fun. It took at least two hours to unload the 4 boxes and then the first screw went in wrong and it seemed like it was going to take days but finally things started happening and I believe they were on step 50 out of 90 yes 90 steps...I believe the hard part is out of the way. Tomorrow hopefully they will have swings up. Max promises to not say he is bored ever again. This is his new faorite thing to say....

New Pet at the House

Hey how about this one girls we have a dog. Dad wanted this one and we named him Rusty. Bet you can't wait to come home and visit him. His hair isn't very thick but with a little Miracle gro and some tender loving care he will be a beautiful dog. How about the picture I added. I am so proud of myself. I always hope I can do it a second time after I am so successful navigating around things the first time. Dad is on vacation so lots of honey do lists for him. He has 1/3 of his garden planted. It is Friday tomorrow and I am excited. Lisa and Colleen are going to Winner and they wanted me to go but I am just staying put they are leaving at noon and I can't do that on a moments notice. I was giving them a bad time but it really is OK that I stay home. Well I wanted to share the new pet his head and tail bop around in the wind he is a cutie...

It was a beautiful spring day and it is too early for gardening so I spent the day spring cleaning two vehicles. Doesn't that sound like fun. Then I made the mistake of going to Hobby Lobby and they had gazing balls and holders !/2 price soooo I finally purchased one for myself. I love it is is a stained glass looking ball. Shiny glass that reflects the sun. I was so excited and I have hinted for many years for one sooo I just bought myself a gift....I hope nobody steals it like they did our frog band guys. Maybe tomorrow I will drag out some of my other favorite garden stuff it looks pretty bare up there right now. I am looking at two cute pool frogs for the backyard. Dad and I purchased them a month or so ago and they need to go outside. I even dried some bedding on the clothes line today. That is a good day for an old woman. I love clean outside dried sheets and PJ's. Nothing better in my book. It was a great way to be outside and I did not do anything in the house because I have missed too many nice days. We might get some rain tonight ahh of course we will because I cleaned two cars up it always rains when I do that.

My crazy life

I did find my blog I had not downloaded all of them. Lucky for me you can't make too many mistakes and if you do it is just some words and they can be done again. Dad is home for a few days. He fried chicken tonight and he fixed his pond that was losing so much water so darn fast. I hope he did the job. I love that thing and I love the flowers and lights we have rigged up. Spring is on its way Dad is thinking of tilling the garden and planting peas!! Ikes that is hard to believe it is garden season again. I talked to both of you girls last night. It was so nice even though you both gave me some sad news I knew both of you thought it all out and I will stand behind your decisions. We liked Pat and we liked the fun of the sidewalk arts festival but their are other less stressful ways for both of you to lead your lives and we will support you...always.

I lost a blog again. I can find it but it is not attached to my home page but I did not name it so I am just playing around to see if I get this where it needs to go bear with me.....

Ok I think I have a moment to share with you. It is midweek and I have survived even though we all have had daylight savings time jitters. Kids have been cracky and even the nearly 56 year old care giver hit the sack at 9:30 last night missing the end of her Tuesday night line up Judging Amy. I will say I was a much happier person this morning so it must of been worth it. I am off to go for a walk. I have almost talked myself out of it twice but I will have no quilt if I just get up and move myself out that door. Just had to share my day.

Well I finally have a few minutes to try to figure this all out. It was easy to get started but I have had a little trouble adding to it. It was a busy week last week with Danni here and then this week end the Fritz's were around and the Lincoln Honners were going to go home and then they came back for Indian tacos. We had a great time that evening. Yesterday was a shopping day for Pam so I went along and got some new work out shoes that do not have to be tied can you believe this world of our?? So I should be getting my PJ's on but thought I would take 5 minutes and see what I could do with this blog site. I wrote one last week that is out there some where because it did not go to my blog site sooo we will see how this one works. I still need to find Becki's site.
