More pictures for you people far away

You just can not capture how cute this little girl is! She was so alert and fun to watch her stretch and yawn. I stayed up with Kelli for a few hours tonight. It was calm and fun to just chit chat with her. She is so nervous about motherhood. I told her she can call anytime and I will try to be there for her as soon as I can. She looked beautiful today she was showered up and her hair was done and she even had a pink gown on!! Her favorite color. I surprised her with a waffle blanket for Josie I felt like it will be warm for her on our cold South Dakota days. Macy broke her elbow yesterday afternoon so I spent the evening with Paige and Macy in ER then at the surgical tower because they had to do surgery to place a couple of screws in her little elbow. She was trying to ride a surf board on a tidal wave with her brothers and missed the tidal wave (all the cushions from couches and chairs) but I am sure you all knew that! She had and so did Mom and Dad a rough night last night when she came out of recovery she was a little bulldog. She wanted the blood pressure cuff off and the ET red finger did not impress her. She isn't in a total cast but she is in some kind of restrictive semi cast for a week or ten days. It was definitely a week end at Sioux Valley for me and to think I did not know what I was doing for the week end!!

A DAY TO REMEMBER

Yesterday we added a new baby to our family. I intended to go up and sit in a waiting room until she was born but Kelli invited me in the room and we sat and visited and helped pass the time for her. About six-thirty the doctor came in and Kelli had stayed the same for six hours so the decided to do a c-section and boy oh boy did things move fast then. Miss Josie was born at 7:16 P.M. This is a very unusual occasion because yesterday was Kelli's 25th birthday and is Leslie's birthday Kelli's Mom. I do not know what the odds are that this could happen but all three on the same day. Kelli just wanted birthday cake yesterday but I think she was on liquids and crackers when I left at eleven so today will be a little cake and ice cream. Jay's Mom's birthday is today so they are going to be a partying family in the future!. Everyone is doing well. Kelli is still on crutches and her belly is full of stitches so she certainly has some challenges in the next few weeks but any girl that can have knee surgery done five weeks ago with just an epidural is one stoic chick she will need some help for awhile but things will get back to normal for that girl soon. I just wanted to get these pictures up for Angie, Katie, Becki and Nicki. I will definitely keep you updated....

Mom and Grandpa meeting Josie

Kelli had an emergency C-section so Josie was taken upstairs to check her out and Kelli was having a hard time controling the pain so she did not get to hold her and really look at her until eleven last night. Everyone was tired and happy when I left! Posted by Picasa

Mom and Dad hope she always sleeps this well!!
