I finally have had a moment to download my new camera CD so I can share my photos. It has been a really laid back week-end. It has definitely been a chilly fall feeling few days. Isn't it funny how spring has a certain feel and so does fall. I made an apple pie yesterday and it made me feel like I should be making stew. I took Dad out to Red Lobster instead for his birthday and he thought it was the best ever! A winner for me. We have had such a great time the last few weeks. A great camping experience with all of our kids. The rain did not even scare us all off. It just should of been a day longer. I will say my sunburned body could probably not take it but I would smear on the 40 plus sun screen on and I think I could make it! Then we were off to Rapid City, SD for some fun. It was so beautiful to see the scenery. You just forget how pretty it is and how far you can see. I have spent the week end finishing up Kelli's baby quilt. I can not believe I am done. It is time for some books now.

I'm excited to see the finished project. My baby quilt is a work in progress. I know Sister M&M is probably chuckling down at me using the seam ripper more than the sewing machine. I did promise her I'd finish my quilt I started in high school someday. Heck, she gave me an "A" for an unfinished project that took me the entire semester and still isn't finished.
My seams on my baby blanket don't all match up so I got some old buttons from Jay's mom to put at the corners! Cute fix I thought! We'll see. I'm trying to get finished as quickly as possible and get the sewing machine back in a timely manner as promised!
Still gonna need some help on the next steps of baby quilting. My questions aren't over yet. Be expecting a visit soon.
Umm buttons and babies are not a good combo. Just a heads up. I am trying to think what would be better. Little bows maybe. Some thing that a small child might pick off and choke on. I am done officially and have moved on to other things. It has been a great 3 day week end. Just have hung and did things I wanted too. Do not do that enough. Gary was nice enough to take me to Menards and Ace Hardware all in one day! Yikes it was so exciting we bought mouse bait or RAT bait I am not sure which!!!!
Thanks for the heads up. Darn, I got the cutest vintage buttons from Jay's mom. I guess I wasn't thinking of having her roll around on it, but you make a good point. I also wasn't planning to make it a wall decoration either so if it's going to be in the vicinity of her mouth I guess I'd rather not run the risk of having her choke on my masterpiece. Lesson #1 from the master herself in tips how NOT to kill your child. I've been having extreme anxiety attacks about being solely responsible for keeping another human alive. Thanks for the pointer. I'm sure it's not the last time I'll feel like a fool for simply "not thinking". How the heck am I going to do this?
